The Flora

In 2025, I will be illustrating a botanica book for A.S. Apothecary. Alongside this work, I’m developing a project focused on painting and drawing the wild flora of these islands.

This project is about slowing down and paying attention to local plant life, from species adapted to salt wind and poor soil, to the short-lived blooms of the machair and the lichens found on stone.

These studies are both observational and reflective, serving as visual notes that help me learn a place through close, careful looking.
